AF-Jackson Day of Action: Stewpot Visit

Join AF-Jackson board members as we volunteer at the city’s homeless shelter.
Stewpot Community Services provides compassionate assistance, at no charge, to people in need of physical and spiritual nourishment. Through their ministries, they serve people who are hungry, poor, and homeless, offering food, shelter, clothing, mentoring, care and concern.
Stewpot’s Vision:
Provide food, clothing, shelter, and nurturing care to children, elderly, disabled and poor persons in the community
Provide volunteer opportunities to those with a passion for service
Recognize the giftedness in everyone who walks through our doors
Affirm the value and uniqueness of every person as a child of God
Uphold the importance of local ownership and control of our ministries
Affirm the importance of inter-faith and ecumenical cooperation.
