TAPS IN HONORED GLORY

A special ceremony commemorating the Centennial of Taps at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier will be held Sunday November 7, 2021 at 10 am in the Tanner Amphitheater (Old Amphitheater) at Arlington National Cemetery. TAPS IN HONORED GLORY will honor the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and remember the buglers who have sounded Taps there over the past century.

Events will include a ceremony at 10:00 am, wreath ceremonies at the graves of buglers who sounded Taps at the Tomb and a formal wreath laying at 1:15 pm at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The wreath will be presented by the family of Frank Witchey, first bugler to sound Taps at the Tomb.
The program is open to the public. Buglers who wish to participate in the ceremony must register at www.TapsForVeterans.org
The program is coordinated by Mr. Jari Villanueva, USAF (retired) and TAPS FOR VETERANS.
Taps For Veterans is working with Arlington National Cemetery, The United States Army Band, Military District of Washington and The Society of the Honor Guard Tomb of the Unknown Soldier to commemorate the Centennial.
