AF-California has partnered with the Institute for Justice to bring a “Know Your Rights” workshop to Sacramento!
Americans face many attacks on their rights because of grave abuses of government power.
These abuses include civil asset forfeiture, qualified immunity, and many more. Through civil asset forfeiture, the government has taken $68.8 billion from Americans over the last 20 years. Due to qualified immunity, too many government officials have escaped accountability after violating the laws that U.S. citizens must follow. On top of these abuses, IJ and AF are protecting and expanding the freedom to make and sell food from your home. This basic right is important to thousands of Californians trying to make a living.
IJ works to abolish these government abuses across the country and their experts on these issues are coming to Sacramento to show you how to stand up against these threats to the constitution. Hear from policy and grassroots leaders at IJ about how you can see the impact of these injustices and learn how you can organize right here in California to protect your rights.
Free lunch will be provided.
All are welcome, and admission is free, but registration is required. Space is limited, so please reserve your spot soon.
