Intent vs. Impact: Responding to Unintended Microaggressions

Join us for a candid discussion about implicit bias, microaggressions, and intent vs. impact while talking and interacting with people different from yourself. Learn how to avoid committing unintended microaggressions, respond if it happens, and change your speech accordingly.
Age:
This class is appropriate for ages 15+.
Location:
This class will take place indoors at Rochester Brainery, located at 176 Anderson Ave F109, Rochester, NY 14607.

About the teacher:
Calvin Eaton (he/his/him) is a disabled scholar/author/speaker/social entrepreneur who specializes in the following subjects: African American history & culture, antiblackness, civil disobedience, housing justice & gentrification, sustainability, disability rights, food justice, and gluten-free lifestyle/cooking.
