ABOUT KAMILLE BUNDY – Here’s How It All Started
A Prince George’s County native and government financial consultant, Kamille Bundy fought through being a victim of domestic violence to create a safe environment for herself and her children. Having been raised by a young mother, Kamille was no stranger to the realities of that path. Through her journey as a young mother, she realized that there are other young mothers who share similar experiences with unhealthy intimate relationships, working low-income jobs to make ends meet and challenges with raising a family while trying to finish school. Kamille was overwhelmed by the isolation and lack of resources but her desire to want to help other mothers who are challenged with having a balanced and independent life pushed through and in light of those challenges came the birth of Young Mothers, Inc. in 2011.
