This is a snapshot of the American “justice” system – and that doesn’t even include military prisons, civil commitment centers, state psychiatric hospitals or prisons in U.S. territories!
So what exactly is making our system so inefficient? Is the system simply a government created problem? OR the best solution for managing confined U.S. citizens? What are some of the proposals at the legislature to reform our system?
Join the AF-Atlanta chapter on Wednesday, January 18 from 7-9 p.m. to find out.
It’s time to dive deep into Georgia’s criminal justice system and see what we can do to create a justice system that is efficient, ethical, and adequately addresses violent crime.
We’ve invited Catherine Bernard, a constitutional rights and criminal defense lawyer who has successfully represented thousands of people in Georgia facing criminal charges, to guide us through this discussion.
