AF-Milwaukee: Tour Trinity Lutheran Friestadt School

Join AF-Milwaukee for a tour of Trinity Lutheran Friestadt School followed by drinks and networking on Thursday, March 2!
In 1839, immigrants seeking the free practice of their religion, founded Freistadt (“free city”), Wis., beginning with a school first. In 2012, Trinity’s legacy commitment to underserved populations led the church to welcome refugee Karenni who were immigrating from Myanmar (Burma); this ministry ushered Trinity into the state’s parental school choice programs. While this move bolstered ministry opportunities, some families fled.
Since then, the school has seen 150% growth in 4 years, with a 25% minority population and 32 zip codes represented.
