Black Policy Day 2023

Black Policy Day is coming to the Capitol on February 15, 2023.
Start the day with breakfast at the Cultural Center at 7:00 AM, where we will review the Black Policy Agenda and provide information about current opportunities and resources for Black and minority West Virginians, followed by a series of activities and speakers related to the Black Policy Framework. The afternoon will include a youth-centered lunch event with accompanying activities.
Throughout the day, there will be opportunities to engage in meetings with lawmakers, space for vendors and tabling opportunities, youth activities, and much more. Some events will include an option for virtual participation via livestream.

7:00 – 9:00 AM – Breakfast at Cultural Center
8:00 AM – 3:00 PM – Organizations set up in Upper Rotunda
9:00 AM – 1:00 PM – Meet with lawmakers
9:00 AM – 1:00 PM – Attend committee meetings
11:00 AM – 12:00 PM – Attend House and Senate meeting
12:15 – 1:00 PM – Lunch and debrief with youth
1:15 PM – Crown Act Rally
